Traceability & process

Quality & Traceability

Every bottle, pouch, and capsule can be traced back to a specific farm, harvest week, and press date in Samaná. This page documents the six stages our botanicals pass through before crossing the border into the United States.

From Samaná to your home

Six stages. One continuous chain of custody.

Our raw materials at origin — noni, soursop leaves, and turmeric plants in Samaná.
  1. 1

    Stage 01

    Harvest in Samaná

Our women-led community of growers hand-picks fruit and leaves under regenerative agriculture and syntropic agriculture — the forest stays standing, the soil keeps feeding itself.

  2. 2

    Stage 02

    Selection & classification

At our collection center, each lot is inspected, sorted by ripeness and leaf quality, and tagged with a batch code that follows it through every remaining stage.

  3. 3

    Stage 03

    Solar drying or cold-press maceration

Leaves cure on raised screens under the Caribbean sun. Whole noni fruit macerates in glass for 3 to 12 months, then is cold-pressed below 40°C to protect enzymes and aroma.

  4. 4

    Stage 04

    Ozonation (95% O₂ / 5% O₃)

A high-purity ozone/oxygen stream sanitizes the product without heat, radiation, or chemical preservatives — a natural alternative to pasteurization that keeps raw phytochemistry intact.

  5. 5

    Stage 05

    Packaging & batch labeling

Sealed at origin in amber glass, kraft, or vegetable capsules. Every unit carries a lot code linking back to the farm, harvest week, and press date.

  6. 6

    Stage 06

    Export to the USA

Shipped with FDA-compliant documentation — prior notice, facility registration, and full ingredient labeling — so the product arrives at your door within days of leaving Samaná.

Why ozonation?

Sanitized by nature, not by heat

Ozone (O₃) is oxygen with an extra atom. When we pass a 95% O₂ / 5% O₃ mixture through the product, it neutralizes microorganisms on contact and then decomposes back into ordinary oxygen — leaving no residue, no additives, and no cooked taste. Because there is no heat, the plant's natural compounds, color, and aroma remain closer to how they were the day they were harvested.

No pasteurization

No heat step means enzymes and volatile aromatics stay intact.

No chemical preservatives

Ozone reverts to O₂ after acting — nothing is added to the final product.

Traditional-use framing

We describe how these botanicals have been used in Caribbean folk practice, not what they cure.
